About Anfaani

Do you know that Black women are in the middle of a burnout epidemic? 

 

It’s no secret that Black women are the least served in society.

Studies show black women are 29% more likely to develop a mental health disorder (including anxiety, stress etc.). The microaggressions and societal pressures we face contribute to the deterioration of our mental health.

With only 6.5% of us seeking help, we are prone to frequent burnouts and breakdowns. 

 

Unfortunately, the mental health sector and wellness industry leave us behind. Anfaani wants to close the mental wellness gap by approaching it holistically. 

Approaching wellness holistically means we not only focus on mental wellness but also explore all aspects of wellness, including physical, emotional, mental, social, and occupational.

 

Anfaani is a social and holistic wellness app for black women. It’s designed to provide the tools and coaching we require to maintain our mental, physical and overall well-being.

The app will give Black women wellness tools, coaching and culturally appropriate professionals and wellness practitioners.

This app has been life changing! I’m more consistent than ever so with my workouts. I’m building more strength without exhausting myself in the process. Everything is there for you, and it takes out the decision fatigue component. It’s always accessible and you can either do the daily workout or choose one from the huge library to suit how you’re feeling that day. I love The Balance Life, it has relaxing stretching but also has challenging workouts and Robin is very encouraging and explains everything very well! It has made me a Pilates devotee mostly because of Robin's gentle approach to the process: Grace Over Guilt!! I love how she explains every move and alternatives if you're not able to quite do it. And I love that the workouts are, on average, 15 minutes... SO DOABLE!! Definitely recommend!!

TBL is having such a positive impact on my life. I feel I stumbled upon it just at the right time. I was getting fed up of the gym and feeling a little low with the pandemic and felt I wanted something else to do along side my walking/hiking which I love. I tried one of Robins workouts on YouTube one morning and loved it. I loved Robins approach and the way that I felt afterwards. So, I joined up and have carried on starting my day with the calender workouts ever since. I love the whole vibe, Robin is lovely and very encouraging as are all the lovely ladies in the sisterhood. I hope to carry on my journey with TBL for a long time to come.
